Madrid's struggles in front of goal were evident as they played to a scoreless
draw against Rayo Vallecano at the Santiago Bernabéu on Sunday.
Despite enjoying dominance in possession and generating numerous scoring opportunities, Carlo Ancelotti's team couldn't break the deadlock, largely due to the outstanding performance of Rayo's goalkeeper, Stole Dimitrievski.
In the second half, Real Madrid seemed to have found the net through Vinicius Jr, but their hopes were dashed as the goal was disallowed for offside.
As a
result, Real Madrid remains in the second position in the La Liga standings,
trailing leaders Girona by two points.
